It's Monday! What Are You Reading? Is a meme hosted by Shelia over at Book Journey.
This week I'm reading:
(Finishing up from the weekend)
LUCINDA, DARKLY by Sunny
For centuries, Lucinda has endured her agonizing reality. As daughter of the High Lord of Hell, she rules over nothing, retrieving the occasional wayward demon and feeding off of the savage Monére—of whom she was a member before she died.
Then she encounters the Monére warrior Stefan, who offers himself to her. She is moved beyond measure by her desire for him—and soon finds herself drawn back into the heady eroticism of the Monére. There, she must carve out a home between the jealousy of the dead and the violence of the living, if she is to keep her newfound love—and life…
(leftover from last week)
Earl of Darkness by Alix Rickloff
The magic she tries to hide . . .
Born a lady, but reduced to surviving in the slums of Dublin, Catriona O’Connell has been hired to steal a mysterious book from Aidan Douglas, Earl of Kilronan. But Cat is secretly Other, an age-old mixture of Fey and human—something Aidan recognizes immediately when he surprises the lovely young burglar in his library, about to steal a magical diary.
. . . is the magic he desperately wants.
From the moment Aidan sees her, Cat’s spirited beauty enchants him, but her uncanny abilities are what he truly needs, for Cat can understand the mystical language in the diary he inherited from his murdered father. So Aidan makes an offer: translate the book or be thrown in prison as a thief. And as Cat slowly deciphers each page, she and Aidan are drawn together by passion . . . and into the violence of the Other world that is the Kilronan legacy. Can they defeat those who seek the book, or are their lives in even greater danger than their hearts?
And if I have time, if not I'll push to next week...

I’m curious about Lucinda, Darkly. I’ve read some of Sunny’s other series, so I’m looking forward to your review!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late today, but I wanted to drop by to return the visit. It looks like you've got a lot coming up soon. I feel like I'm about to have my TBR pile collapse on top of me. It's out of control!
ReplyDeleteI love the Queen Betsy series but have not read any of the short stories that goes with it. I am so excited about the new book coming out in July. I'll have to check back to see what you thought of it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
