Guest Post + Giveaway: Felicity Heaton

Help me welcome one of my favorite Indie authors to
The Book Nympho today.
{Drum roll}
Ms. Felicity Heaton

It’s wonderful to be here at The Book Nympho for my first guest appearance.
I’ll try to make it an interesting one.

I’m currently touring with Covet, the first erotic vampire romance novella in my Vampire Erotic Theatre series, and today I will be interviewing the very sexy resident Spanish vampire and part owner of Vampirerotique, Javier. Javier is the hero of the ultimate forbidden love story. Read on to find out more about it from the vampire himself.

Interview with a sexy Spanish vampire

FH: I have Javier here with me today to talk about his book, Covet. Firstly, can you tell us a little about yourself?

JAVIER: I am an elite vampire and part owner of Vampirerotique, an exclusive theatre that caters to entertaining my own kind with shows that involve vampires and humans. I was born in northern Spain a little over six hundred years ago and have lived in London for the past century, running Vampirerotique with a fellow elite, Callum, and two aristocrat vampires, Antoine and Snow. My role at Vampirerotique is to oversee the theatre staff.

FH: In Covet, you meet Lilah. How did you meet and how did you feel about her initially?

JAVIER: I met Lilah two years ago, when her vampire master sent her to work at the theatre. Lilah is an owned human. It means that she exchanged blood with a vampire and benefits from his protection, and immunity to disease and slower aging granted by his blood. When I first saw Lilah, I knew I was in trouble. Resisting her was difficult but I had to do it, regardless of how it pained me and how my initial lust for her grew into love. Seeing her and not being able to touch her because of the bond to her master and the laws... it was Hell.

FH: Your relationship with Lilah is beyond forbidden because of those laws you mentioned. Because she’s an owned human, if you touch her out of desire, you forfeit your life. Is that right?

JAVIER: (nods) Unfortunately so. Touching Lilah with any sense of desire is like signing my own death sentence. Her master would sense that the sacred law had been broken and would come for her. By law, I am not even allowed to defend myself when he comes to take my head. You do not know how difficult it is to see a woman you have come to love, to have to speak to her and give her orders for the night, and know you can never act on your feelings for her.

FH: It sounds like torture. But you’re together now. Can you tell us about what happened in your story?

JAVIER: I returned from a month long trip to Spain, to my sister’s wedding, to find that Lilah had punched our best performer, Victor. It was opening night and not what anyone needed. I had to find Lilah and find out her side of the story. I knew that she would have a good reason for striking one of the resident vampires. When I found her during the performance, she was alone, cleaning out one of the private boxes. I caught her watching the show and all sense flew out of my head. My heart demanded I seize that moment with her and I did, and I came close to paying for it too. I was very fortunate.

FH: It sounds as though you were. Lilah’s master is an aristocrat, meaning he has pure vampire blood in his veins and is far stronger than you are since you have some human blood in your family. It must have been a very frightening time for both you and Lilah, but I’m glad that it worked out for you both in the end. How has life been since the events that happened and brought you together?

JAVIER: Busy. Lilah is settling into her new life and there is so much happening at the theatre. She continues to work even though I have told her that she no longer has to do such menial tasks. She likes to help out at the theatre, and has taken to spending time with Snow when he has to be contained, reading to him so he sleeps comfortably. I do not like her visiting the old aristocrat vampire alone but she tells me that I worry too much and that Snow would never hurt her. I fear that she might be proven wrong one day. Snow is not himself when the bloodlust seizes him. I do not want to lose her. She is my everything.

FH: That’s so sweet. I’m sure that she would call out for help should Snow take a turn for the worse and he’s always chained to his bed, so he wouldn’t be able to get to her. Your story, Covet, is a book in a series. Can you tell us a little about the series and can we expect see more of you in other stories in this series?

JAVIER: The series will definitely be more of what was chronicled in my book and I think I will likely feature in all the stories. I believe the next story belongs to Callum and from what I have heard of that relationship, it is sure to be explosive and wild. He caused a much grander scale of ruckus with his choice of female than I did with mine. I hear through the grapevine that many females are impatiently awaiting Snow’s book. I cannot see what the attraction is. A blood crazed vampire liable to rip you apart? I would have thought they would sooner pursue the sane brother of that family, Antoine.

FH: I think everyone is convinced that Antoine has a stone-cold heart and women love to fix things. Snow needs fixing. I’ll end on a lighter question. Describe yourself in one word?

JAVIER: (smiles) Foolish.

FH: (smiles back at him) I think romantic might suit you more. Thank you for meeting with me today and chatting. Is there anything else that you’d like to add?

JAVIER: Only that I have enjoyed this interview far more than the one where you invaded my room while I was sleeping. Lilah is still complaining about that one. I do not think she enjoyed you bringing many women into our apartment while I was naked. I hear you will be interviewing her soon and I am looking forward to reading what she has to say about our love story, and me.

I hope you’ve all enjoyed this insight into Covet through the eyes of the hero, Javier!

Covet is available now for Kindle, Nook, Kobo and Apple devices. It will soon be available at the Sony site, but you can get it in epub from other retailers like Smashwords and my own website.

Keep reading to find out more about the book and author.

Covet
by Felicity Heaton
length: 30000 words / 100 pages
Book 1 in the Vampire Erotic Theatre series

Read an excerpt

They’ve burned for each other for two years, the forbidden attraction between them growing each night. Now resisting the sinful desires of their hearts is becoming impossible.

Javier knows better than to succumb to his hunger for Lilah. The mortal female belongs to a powerful aristocrat patron of Vampirerotique, the theatre he runs with three other vampires. A single touch is all it would take to break the sacred law of his kind, sentencing himself to death, but his passion for her has become too fierce to ignore and he will risk everything to make Lilah his.

Lilah has fought her desire for Javier since arriving at his theatre as a servant but each glance he has stolen, his eyes promising pleasure that will satisfy her longing for him, has chipped away at her defences and she can no longer deny her need and her forbidden feelings for the powerful vampire male.

When they find themselves alone in a private box during one of the erotic performances, will they surrender to their passion and live out their wildest fantasies in a night of wicked pleasure or will the threat of Lilah’s master keep them apart forever?
