Cover Revealed: Rogue Rider by Larissa Ione

Rogue Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #4)Rogue Rider
by Larissa Ione
(Lords of Deliverance #4)
Expected publication: November 20th 2012 by Grand Central Publishing

The prophecies were there but no one listened. Until now. They are the Lords of Deliverance and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride. Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues - and falls for - a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Handsome, charming and protective, Reseph seems like the kind of man that Jillian can trust. But with hints of a troubling history of his own, he's also the kind of man that can be very dangerous . . . Reseph may not know his background, or why he mysteriously appeared in Jillian's life, but he knows he wants to stay. Yet when Jillian's neighbours are killed and demon hunters arrive on the scene, Reseph fears that he's putting Jillian in danger. And once it's revealed that Reseph is also Pestilence, the Horseman responsible for ravaging the world with death and destruction, he and Jillian must face the greatest challenge of all: can they forget the horrors of a chilling past to save the future they both desire?

Ione showed off the UK cover a few months back but while cursing around on Goodreads I ran across the US cover.

It's nice but I don't think it fits with the rest of the covers.

Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #1) Immortal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #2) Lethal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #3)

What do you think of the US cover?

  1. I haven't started these ones yet. I'm slowly working my way through her Demonica series via audiobooks and enjoying it.

I agree that this cover doesn't match with the others and it's definitely not the nicest out of the bunch.

    1. I have books 1 & 2 in paperback. I'm holding off until all the books come out and then start the series so I can read them back to back.

  2. I like it, but I think it would have been nice if they had stuck to the black and white photography of the first two covers.

  3. Did Ione announce this as the cover yet? This cover was cover revealed on a few blogs and I asked her is that seriously the cover and se said it's not and it's what's showing up for the ebook cover or something. I really hope it's not the actually cover b/c I dislike it greatly. I"m waiting til she makes an official annoucement on the US Cover.

    2. Yea. I had seen it like right after the third book released and I was like HELL NO! Please tell me this isn't the cover. All things Urban Fantasy had released it and I had a comment about not liking it and Larissa IOne commented saying it wasn't actually the cover, it's just what is being posted on Amazon. So I'm hoping the final version will be much better and blend in with the rest of the covers. This one does not blend in at all to me.

  6. i like it and i think they went with the white instead of the black as a contrast to show that he's no longer Pestilence (his dark side) but back to being Reseph (embracing the light side) and trying to be a good guy. And honestly the book will be so hot they could have put a blank cover with the name on it and i'd still be in love :D
