SHE’S FROM THE WRONG SIDE OF THE TRACKS
Liberty Jones has dreams and determination that will take her far away from Welcome, Texas---if she can keep her wild heart from ruling her mind. Hardy Cates sees Liberty as completely off-limits. His own ambitions are bigger than Welcome, and Liberty Jones is a complication he doesn’t need. But something magical and potent draws them to each other, in a dangerous attraction that is stronger than both of them.
HE’S THE ONE MAN SHE CAN’T HAVE
When Hardy leaves town to pursue his plans, Liberty finds herself alone with a young sister to raise. Soon Liberty finds herself under the spell of a billionaire tycoon---a Sugar Daddy, one might say. But the relationship goes deeper than people think, and Liberty begins to discover secrets about her own family’s past.
WILL THEY FIND THEIR HEARTS’ DESIRES OR WILL HEARTBREAK TEAR THEM APART? Two men. One woman. A choice that can make her or break her. A woman you’ll root for every step of the way. A love story you’ll never forget.
REVIEW:
Sugar Daddy is my first Lisa Kleypas read. I’ve seen so many bloggers that love her and I’ve wanted to branch out some into contemporary romance to have a little bit of a break from my usual paranormal romance reads. I'm glad I gave a new to me genre a listen, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed Sugar Daddy.
It was a bit slow in the being but it picked up speed after a few chapters. I didn’t know what to expect from Sugar Daddy, so I didn’t realize that we would be following the main heroine, Liberty Jones through her teen years up to her early twenties. But I enjoyed seeing her grow and it made me remember feelings I had during those years and how at that age you fall for someone and how they feel like they are the whole world to you; even if they don’t feel the same about you.
Liberty and her mom are all the family they have after Liberty’s dad died when she was very little. They’ve had it rough since, they didn’t have much in the way of money. Liberty’s mom is a very beautiful blonde woman and most people looked at them funny since Liberty looked more like her Mexican father, with an olive skin tone and black hair. But as Liberty grows she really comes into her own beauty and starts getting noticed by boys. But the one that she really wants is a couple years older than her and treats her like a little sister. Until they share a kiss. But since he’s plans include getting out of their small town he doesn’t act on his feelings for Liberty and tells her goodbye.
We follow Liberty through her early twenties and she only gets stronger after one hard knot after the next. I was so glad to see that after having a hard life and having to grow up so fast that Liberty got her HEA with a smoking hot man that was just what she needed in her life.
Sugar Daddy is a real emotional ride and I enjoyed every minute of it. I can’t wait to start listening to the next book, Blue-Eyed Devil.

I borrowed my copy.
I, too, just popped my Kleypas cherry last week! But I read Smooth Talking Stranger, book 3 of the Travises first! I didn't know it was part of a series! So now I have to backtrack and read this and the next one. I was squealing too much I have to put it down because my bro-in-law is starting to think I'm losing my mind. LOL

LOL. I'm enjoying easing into the Contemp Romance world. It gives me a nice break from PNR/UF so I don't burn out.
DeleteI LOVE this series, I read it a couple years ago. Smooth Talking Stranger, book 3, is my favorite of the series... Love Lisa Kleypas... Book Savvy Babe
