#AADSAV Author, Elle Jasper Stops By

Please welcome Elle Jasper
to The Book Nympho today.

Hi, and thanks for having me!

For those that have not read your Dark Ink Chronicles series can you give them a run down on what to expect from the series?

Absolute vampire/supernatural kick-butt spooky fun! Riley Poe shares her vampire-fighting, loving experiences from Savannah GA to the most recent setting, Edinburgh Scotland. Master tattoo artist and badgirl, Riley became involved in the vampire hunting world when her teenaged brother was seduced into a youth cult by a pair of vicious Romanian vampires, buried in Savannah’s historic Bonaventure Cemetery. With the help of the city’s guardians, the Dupre Family, including her love, Eli Dupre, she saved her brother and the other teens involved. But Riley didn’t escape unscathed. She’s been bitten four times—three by strigoi vampires. Once by her love, Eli. She has powers that surpass most vampires. And she uses them to take out the rogues plaguing innocents.

I saw on your website that you have sold two more books in the Dark Ink Chronicles, congrats! Does that mean we will get two more books after Book Four, Black Fallen? Do you see the series wrapping up by the end of the two new books?

Maybe! In Black Fallen, Riley has her first assignment as new member of the WUP team—Worldwide Unexplained Phenomena. Many unexpected surprises lie in wait for Riley readers as she travels to Edinburgh, Scotland with the team to hunt and destroy three vicious fallen angels terrorizing Old Town.

So it’s safe to assume your vampires don’t sparkle (LOL) where did you get the mythology for your vampires?

My vampires do not sparkle! Lol! My friend and author pal, Leah Marie Brown, sent me some cool info on the Strigoi vampire legends of Romania. Combine that with old Savannah Georgia (my home town!) and voila! (And so many people think Savannahians died from Yellow Fever back in the day. Ha! VAMPIRES! LOL)

You also write under the name Cindy Miles in the YA genre. Can you tell us a little about your YA book Forevermore that’s releasing in July 2013?

Absolutely! Forevermore spotlights unique violin prodigy, Ivy Calhoun, and handsome Scottish ghost Logan Munro, as they struggle to solve an ancient mystery in the forboding haunted Glenveggan Castle. Of course they fall hopelessly in love! It’s sort of a mix of Rebecca and Haunting of Hill House, with a Cindy Miles twist! And for those of you who followed my Cindy Miles adult ghost romances you’ll find characters from Highland Knight involved in all aspects of the story. Great fun! Forevermore releases in Club in January 2013, and the book is available everywhere in July 2013.

And you also write about yummy Highlanders under the name, Cindy Miles. So if you had to pick would you rather be ravished by a highlander or a sexy vampire?

Hands down, HIGHLANDER! Lol!

I’ve never been to Savannah so I'm not only excited about meeting the authors, readers and other bloggers at AADSAV but I’m eager to see the town. What are you most excited about looking ahead to AADSAV?

By far, meeting the readers! And hanging out with other authors! Savannah is a fantastic place with tons to do and see. Yet it’s small and homey! Ghost tours and a visit to the historic cemeteries are musts!

Thanks for stopping by to answer a few questions and I’ll be sure to track you down at AADSAV.

Thank you so much, I’m looking forward to seeing you and readers alike!

Elle Jasper spent her youth buried in the pages of Mary Shelly, Edgar Allen Poe, Bram Stoker, and Stephen King. Growing up on the salt marshes of Savannah, Georgia, she was always fascinated by the city’s ancient cobblestones, eerie church spires and Gothic Revival architect—as well as the dark, not-so-publicized side of Savannah, both steeped in tumultuous history. After an education at Armstrong Atlantic University, she forged her love of Gothic literature with an active imagination to pen her own stories. She is now a full time writer and lives amidst the moss and shadows of Savannah.
