Cover Reveal x 6: McMaster, Neill, Frost & More

Heart of Iron
(London Steampunk #2)
by Bec McMaster
Mass Market Paperback, 416 pages
Expected publication: May 7th 2013 by Sourcebooks Casablanca

In Victorian London, if you’re not a blue blood of the Echelon then you’re nothing at all. The Great Houses rule the city with an iron fist, imposing their strict ‘blood taxes’ on the nation, and the Queen is merely a puppet on a string…

Lena Todd makes the perfect spy. Nobody suspects the flirtatious debutante could be a sympathizer for the humanist movement haunting London’s vicious blue blood elite. Not even the ruthless Will Carver, the one man she can’t twist around her little finger, and the one man whose kiss she can’t forget…

Stricken with the loupe and considered little more than a slave-without-a-collar to the blue bloods, Will wants nothing to do with the Echelon or the dangerous beauty who drives him to the very edge of control. But when he finds a coded letter on Lena—a code that matches one he saw on a fire-bombing suspect—he realizes she’s in trouble. To protect her, he must seduce the truth from her.

With the humanists looking to start a war with the Echelon, Lena and Will must race against time—and an automaton army—to stop the humanist plot before it’s too late. But as they fight to save a city on the brink of revolution, the greatest danger might just be to their hearts…

I have one in this series on my shelf and I can't wait to get caught up on my reading pile for the blog so I can get started on it.

Book 8 of the Chicagoland Vampires series by Chloe Neill
Welcome back to Chicago: Famous for sports, pizza, and vampires. At the tender age of twenty-eight, Merit became a sword-wielding vampire. Since then, she’s become the protector of her House, watched Chicago nearly burn to the ground, seen her Master fall and rise, and saved her best friend from self destruction. But this might be her toughest fight yet...

House Rules is not even out yet and we get to see the next cover in the CV series. I love the purple, moon and city in the background. Can't wait.

A Taste of Ice
(The Elementals #2)
by Hanna Martine
Paperback, 368 pages
Expected publication: December 31st 2012 by Berkley Sensation

There is an untapped world of magic that any man would covet...

Five years ago, Xavier escaped from the Ofarian Plant. Today he calls a Colorado mountain town home. It’s there he buries himself in his work, swearing off magic and relationships—until a woman threatens every promise he’s made to himself.

Cat has always known she is different. Water speaks to her on an uncanny level, and she channels this gift into beautiful painted waterscapes. Now, a gallery is debuting her work in Colorado—and it’ll reveal far more about her than she imagined.

The spark between Cat and Xavier is enough to throw both of them off balance. Every tantalizing moment sends them dangerously close to a rising flood of desire. Dangerous because Xavier comes to suspect that Cat is an Ofarian—his people’s enemy. But they’re both about to discover a far greater, more malicious power at play...

I've not read or heard of this series but after seeing this cover I'm going to have to check it out. YUM

Demon Hunting in a Dive Bar
(Demon Hunting #3)
by Lexi George
Expected publication: January 31st 2013 by Kensington

Lexi George blends “hilarious one-liners, sexy alpha males, and plenty of mayhem” (Publishers Weekly) in the third of her paranormal series set in a small Alabama town filled with demonoids…and those who hunt them.

Rebekah “Beck” Damian runs a demonoid bar where everyone’s welcome—even a reformed flesheater who’s strictly vegetarian, a musical ghost who’s looking for a piano bar, and a feline harbinger of doom named Wampus Kitty who’s scaring the customers. So when a big strapping demon-hunter walks into the bar, Beck knows it’s not the end of the world. She’ll treat him like any other customer.

If only she could. Conall Dalvahni is the toughest, meanest, sexiest demon-hunter Beck’s ever seen—and she’s finding it hard to hide her attraction. As far as Conall’s concerned, the feeling is mutual. But how can he trust a beautiful half-demon babe like Beck—when her demonic friends have the perfect weapon to destroy every hunter on earth?

Ok this cover is not that great but you got to love the title. I have this series on my TBR. It sounds super fun and I can't wait to dive into it very soon.

Binding the Shadows
Arcadia Bell 3
by Jenn Bennett
(May 28, 2013)

Demons sure know how to kill a girl’s buzz . . .

Renegade mage and bartender Arcadia Bell has had a rough year, but now the door to her already unstable world is unhinging. When a citywide crime wave erupts, Cady’s demon-friendly tiki bar is robbed by Earthbounds wielding surreal demonic abilities that just flat-out shouldn’t exist. With the help of her devilishly delicious boyfriend, Lon Butler, Cady sets out to find the people who wronged her—but her targets aren’t the only ones experiencing unnatural metamorphoses. Can Cady track down the monsters responsible before the monster inside her destroys everything—and everyone—she loves? If she survives this adventure, one thing is certain: it’s last call for life as she knows it.

I've yet to start this urban fantasy series but I keep seeing great reviews on it. So I've added to my TBR list.

Twice Tempted (Night Prince, #2)Twice Tempted
(Night Prince #2)
by Jeaniene Frost
Mass Market Paperback, 384 pages
Expected publication: March 26th 2013 by Avon

Dating the Prince of Darkness has its challenges . . . Leila’s psychic abilities have been failing her, and now she isn’t sure what the future holds. If that weren’t enough, her lover Vlad has been acting distant. Though Leila is a mere mortal, she’s also a modern woman who refuses to accept the cold shoulder treatment forever–especially from the darkly handsome vampire who still won’t admit that he loves her . . . Like choosing between eternal love and a loveless eternity . . . Soon circumstances send Leila back to the carnival circuit, where tragedy strikes. And when she finds herself in the crosshairs of a killer who may be closer than she realizes, Leila must decide who to trust– the fiery vampire who arouses her passions like no other or the tortured knight who longs to be more than a friend? With danger stalking her every step of the way, all it takes is one wrong move to damn her for eternity . . .

I still have not read Once Burned. I have it on my shelf but I'm tempted to wait and read these two back to back. Not loving the covers for this series but it's Vlad, so who cares about the covers.

Which is your favorite out of the group?
Which one has to wanting to line up at your local bookstore to grab it?
