Interview with the HOT Nick from Checking it Twice + Giveaway

Huge thanks to The Book Nympho for letting me hang out with you all today!

If you’ve been following me during the Checking It Twice tour, you’re probably sick of hearing me yap on by now. So I decided to switch things up a bit and let Naughty Nick do the yapping for once. Considering how willing he is to expose his sexy ways to us *wink wink nudge nudge* hopefully y’all won’t mind letting him take the spotlight in this little interview I did with him.

Jodi: Hey, Nick. Thanks so much for joining us today. (I take advantage of the opportunity for some inappropriate groping as Nick leans in for a hug.)

Nick: Completely my pleasure. (He shrugs out of his coat and drapes it on the arm of the couch before taking a seat.)

Jodi: Wouldn’t say it’s completely all your pleasure. (I shamelessly squeeze his biceps as I plop down on the cushion beside him.) Feel free to take off your shirt if it’s too hot in here for you.

(Nick lifts an eyebrow.) You deliberately set the thermostat at 90 again, didn’t you?

(I try for an innocent look as I steer the conversation in a different direction.) I hear you’ve added a new product line to your Eros Edibles collection. You must be getting a ton of “inspiration” these days.

(Nick gives a wicked chuckle.) Jana tends to have that effect on me. Not that she and Kev are complaining, mind you.

Jodi: I can imagine. Your dedication to expanding their sexual horizons through product research is commendable. I’m curious, is there a particular sexual enhancer you’ve developed that’s your personal favorite?

(Nick rubs his chin in contemplation.) They’re all a labor of love, of course, but the candy cane flavored Bodylicious body paint holds a special place in my heart.

Jodi: I hear it’s quite popular. Any particular reason why?

Nick: Imagine the icy sensation of a peppermint patty…in fun places. Throw in some hot friction, and even the polar caps will be melting at full speed.

Jodi: Is it getting hot in here? (Remembers the 90 degree thermostat and curses under my breath.) What made you decide to get into the erotic edibles business to begin with? You have to admit it’s kind of an unusual trade to settle on.

Nick: I actually started out as a pastry chef. Food and sex have always been important to me, so it made complete sense to combine my two loves.

Jodi: Oh yeah. I’d almost forgotten about that. You and Kevin went to culinary school together, right?

(Nick nods, the corners of his mouth curling in unrepentant mischief) Those were some crazy years.

(I give an indelicate snort.) That’s putting it mildly. Kevin told me about some of the sexual stunts you pulled, and even I blushed.

Nick: What can I say? I’d do anything to help Kev work past his intimacy issues. If that meant tying my date to the bed and driving her out of her ever lovin’ mind while Kev looked on…well, I was more than willing to take one for the team.

Jodi: You should be medaled for your magnanimousness. Do you ever feel awkward “performing” for an audience?

Nick: No, being an exhibitionist, I’m pretty comfortable in my skin in that regard. Not to mention it’s an incredible turn on, feeling those gazes while I’m riding that sexual high. Nothing like it. (He leans forward on the couch, his eyes suddenly dark and intense.) When Kev watches me with Jana, I’m stripped bare both emotionally and physically. It releases something inside me. Breaks the barriers caging any inhibitions. Knowing I’m sharing myself fully with Jana and Kev, and contributing to their own pleasure…it connects us in a way that goes beyond sex.

(Clears my throat delicately.) Speaking of sharing yourself fully—

Nick: No, Kev and I have never played hide the salami together, and don’t plan to. So don’t go getting any damn ideas.

(Fidgets when Nick gives me the stink eye.) What? A reader from Washington wanted to know.

Nick: Please. We both know there’s no reader from Washington.

(Damn. Busted. *Glances at my watch*) Wow, can’t believe our time is almost up. Is there anything you’d like to say in parting to the readers?

Nick: Be true to yourselves. Yeah, there will always be those who’ll insist on trying to convince you it’s wrong to want to be tied up and spanked, or to make love in front of the windows, and a host of other things they deem deprived behavior. As long as the act is consensual and you and your partner find pleasure in it, there isn’t anything wrong with getting your kink on.

Jodi: Sage advice. No wonder Jana fell for you. Anything else?

(Nick flashes another of his patented devilish grins.) Make sure your Christmas list includes candy cane flavored body paint.

MY REVIEW
Checking It Twice
by Jodi Redford

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Tone: Erotic
Heat Level: Erotic (m/f/m menage)
Publisher: Samhain Publishing
Publishing Date: November 27, 2012
Format: eBook
Words: 60,000

The only item on Jana Colton’s Christmas list this year is Kevin Mona- han. Preferably naked in her bed. The delicious, hunky chef has been resisting her forever, but she’s pulling out all the sexy stops this holiday. Especially since his acceptance of an out-of-state job threatens to nix her quest to rock his boxers off.

Jana has always been Kevin’s personal Kryptonite, but giving in to her isn’t an option. Relationships are a four-letter word in his book. He cares far too much for Jana to let his emotional baggage ultimately break her heart.

With the arrival of his best friend, Nick Pappas, the balance of tempta- tion shifts. From their past history of sharing women, Nick knows every dirty trick it takes to lead Kevin astray, and he’s not afraid to use them. Particularly since Nick’s convinced that Jana is exactly what Kevin needs to be happy and whole.

Their game of seduction quickly snowballs into something that feels an awful lot like love—in triplicate. But with Kevin dead set on leaving Michigan, there’s a real possibility it could be a blue Christmas for them all.

Product Warnings: This book contains an extremely tormented voyeur, a very naughty and not so saintly Nick, a liberal application of candy cane-flavored body paint, a buzzing butterfly, and enough raunchy fun on a sex swing to melt a snowman…or two.

Tis the season for double seduction.

The only item on Jana Colton's Christmas list this year is Kevin Monahan. Preferably naked in her bed. The delicious, hunky chef has been resisting her forever, but she's pulling out all the sexy stops this holiday. Especially since his acceptance of an out-of-state job threatens to nix her quest to rock his boxers off.

Jana has always been Kevin's personal Kryptonite, but giving in to her isn't an option. Relationships are a four-letter word in his book. He cares far too much for Jana to let his emotional baggage ultimately break her heart.

With the arrival of his best friend, Nick Pappas, the balance of temptation shifts. From their past history of sharing women, Nick knows every dirty trick it takes to lead Kevin astray, and he's not afraid to use them. Particularly since Nick's convinced that Jana is exactly what Kevin needs to be happy and whole.

Their game of seduction quickly snowballs into something that feels an awful lot like love--in triplicate. But with Kevin dead set on leaving Michigan, there's a real possibility it could be a blue Christmas for them all.

Warning: This book contains an extremely tormented voyeur, a very naughty and not so saintly Nick, a liberal application of candy cane-flavored body paint, a buzzing butterfly, and enough raunchy fun on a sex swing to melt a snowman...or two.

REVIEW:

Holy Hotness Batman this book is frecking hot!! Warning - have peen and/or B.O.B. handy when reading it.

We've all read those romances where the guy and girl meet and fall in love within days or even hours of meeting each other. I really love it when a romance book is about a guy and girl that has a history. And in Checking it Twice, Jana and Kevin have been best friends for 5 years. Jana has wanted more for a while now but Kevin tries to keep his lust for Jana in check for fear of hurting her if he didn't.

So while Jana wanting more than friendship from Kevin she has developed a flirty friendship via the phone with one of her vendors for her adult store. One day she finds herself face to face with the kinky vendor, Nick. And boy is he hot in person.

Could Nick be the one to help Jana get over her longing for Kevin? Maybe but then she finds that the two hot men in her life have a past together of their own.

If you're looking for a hot menage read with a holiday feel to it you should give Checking it Twice a read. It's not just a hot sex after hot sex (although there is a LOT of it) there is also a romance with an emotional ride to enjoy too.
