Review: How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf

How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf
(Naked Werewolf #1)
by Molly Harper

Northern Exposure
Even in Grundy, Alaska, it’s unusual to find a naked guy with a bear trap clamped to his ankle on your porch. But when said guy turns into a wolf, recent southern transplant Mo Wenstein has no difficulty identifying the problem. Her surly neighbor Cooper Graham—who has been openly critical of Mo’s ability to adapt to life in Alaska—has trouble of his own. Werewolf trouble.
For Cooper, an Alpha in self-imposed exile from his dysfunctional pack, it’s love at first sniff when it comes to Mo. But Cooper has an even more pressing concern on his mind. Several people around Grundy have been the victims of wolf attacks, and since Cooper has no memory of what he gets up to while in werewolf form, he’s worried that he might be the violent canine in question.
If a wolf cries wolf, it makes sense to listen, yet Mo is convinced that Cooper is not the culprit. Except if he’s not responsible, then who is? And when a werewolf falls head over haunches in love with you, what are you supposed to do anyway? The rules of dating just got a whole lot more complicated. . . .

I've had Molly Harper's "Good Girls" series on my shelf for a while but I've not gotten around to reading them yet but after borrowing "How to Flirt With a Naked Werewolf" (HFNW) from a friend I will have to move them up my TBR list.

HFNW was a fun and light read about Mo, a soon to be 30 old year that has to move from Mississippi all the way to Grundy Alaska, in order to get away from her nosey tree hugging parents to have her own life.

Even though Mo is an outsider in Grundy she falls in step with the locals very fast when she takes a job at the local saloon as the cook. Mo makes friends with everyone in town, with the exception of the surly, dark and handsome hunting guide, Cooper.

But Mo and Copper's relationship changes when he shows up one night on her porch with a bear trap on his ankle and butt naked. Mo helps Cooper out of the bear trap and watches over him all night while he recovers.

A romance builds between the two while reports of mysterious killings and missing people keep popping up around the small Alaskan town.

Ms. Harper did an superb job keeping me entertained and laughing while reading HFNW. She uses a grand mix humor and sarcasm with a dash of sexiness to bring her characters to life. I've added Molly Harper to my must buy list, if all her books are this funny and enjoyable I can't lose picking up anything she writes.

  1. Sounds like a good read. Might add to my TBR

  2. So glad you enjoyed this one! I read the Good Girls series and they were so much fun, I hope you enjoy those as much.

  3. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. It's cute AND about werewolves which is a win/win for me.

I'm hoping this comment scores me a copy of The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires in audio. ;)

  4. I love the sound of this book, and the fun titles of Ms Harper's books. I greatly enjoy PNR series that add a lot of humor to the books and have many of Ms. Harper's books on my TBR shelf. I am going to have to move them to the top, LOL.
Like Carmel, I am hoping that this comment scores me an audio of one of Ms Harper's books.
