Deeper Than Midnight might be slated as Hunter's book but Mr. Sterling Chase was in it just as much if not more than Hunter. And what a cliffhanger! I can't wait to read Dark Than Midnight. Ok, enough about Chase since this is Hunter's book.

We were introduced to Hunter in Veil of Midnight (book 5). Then he was the Gen On assassin that was breed and trained to be a cold blooded killer that asked no questions and flow orders. But after Hunter wins his freedom he joined the Order. And we have slowly seen him transform into a different man through the books and in Deeper Than Midnight we finally get to see him get his HEA.

It was heartwarming at times and heart breaking at others to read Hunter and Corinne's story. They are both survivors of Dragos evil games. Hunter by birth as one of Dragos' assassins and Corinne as one of the Breedmates that he took to abuse and do experiments on. Corinne brings great balance to Hunter's character. She teaches him how to feel and not be ashamed of his feelings.

Deeper Than Midnight felt like a bridge book between Taken by Midnight and Darker After Midnight. We've see Hunter slowly grow in the last few books and Chase has been becoming darker. Deeper Than Midnight was a closing to Hunter's story ending and a setup to Chase's story. I've not seen anywhere yet who Chase's woman will be, but I have a strong feeling she was introduced in Deeper Than Midnight.

I also have a feeling about a few other characters we see in Deeper Than Midnight and their future in the series. I can see a young romance in the making a few books away.

Fans of Lara Adrain's Midnight Breed series won't want to miss this one. It's easily one of my favorites in the series and I am very much anticipating the release of Chase's book, Darker Than Midnight in January.
