Fledgling guardian angel and yoga teacher Serena St. Clair dares enter Devil’s Paradise nightclub on a mission – to retrieve the wayward Hollywood “It Boy” she’s assigned to protect. But she’s ambushed by the club’s owner, Archdemon Julian Ascher. The most powerful demonic entity in Los Angeles, Julian is handsome as sin, a master of temptation who loves nothing more than corrupting pleasure-seeking humans. He won’t release the lost soul Serena is supposed to guard. Unless she accepts his dangerous wager…

After the disastrous way his human life ended, Julian vowed that no woman would get the better of him again. Yet this sexy-sweet angel, smelling of fresh ocean air and happiness, triggers centuries-old feelings. Now, their high-stakes game of seduction, where angels fall from grace and where demons fear to tread, will lead them either to an eternity in hell…or a deliciously hot heaven.

REVIEW:

Where Demons Fear to Tread by Stephanie Chong is a steamy paranormal romance where angels and demons live among humans on earth. Angels are assigned humans to guard their souls and demons do their best to steal the souls of those humans. It’s a good old-fashioned fight between good and evil. But when you mix in the fact that the archangels and arch demons have physical bodies on earth and all the physical needs and wants of humans, things start to get interesting.

Serena St. Clair is a simple down-to-earth gal that loves to teach yoga and just happens to be an angel trying to save the soul of Nick, a young actor that likes to party a little too hard.

One night Serena goes to one of the local clubs with the intention of keeping Nick out of trouble. While looking for Nick, she meets the owner of the club, Julian Ascher. Julian is the most gorgeous man that Serena has ever seen, which sets off warning bells her head: DEMON! Julian is not just any demon; he is a very powerful arch demon that is close to the top of the chain of command in hell.

Julian has been a womanizer for over two centuries and he always gets want he wants. And what he wants now is Serena; he has found a new target to seduce and destroy.

Julian believes that everyone makes their own choices and that those choices are what make a person’s afterlife. Julian prides himself on being a demon that lets people make their own choices but if he helps tempt that person to chose what he wants then oh well, right?

After making a deal with Julian in order to protect Nick, Serena must spend a week with him in Las Vegas. A week alone with the gorgeous and sexy Julian just might be what makes Serena fall from her angel status.

Will Serena make the right choices and earn her wings?

Fans of the Demonica Series by Larissa Ione and the Fallen Angel series by J.R. Ward will want to read this sexy tail that Chong has spun for us in Where Demons Fear to Tread. I can not wait for the second book in the series, The Demoness of Waking Dreams. Chong has just been added to my "must read" list of authors.
