Chosen
(Chosen Series Book #1)
by Denis Grover Swank
Paranormal Thriller
BUY: Amazon / B&N
MY COPY: Received for Review
RATING:

Everything Emma Thompson owns fits in a suitcase she moves from one roach infested motel to another. She and Jake, her five year old son who can see the future, are running from the men intent on taking him. Emma will do anything to protect him even when it means accepting the help of a stranger named Will. Jake insists she needs Will, but Emma’s never needed help before. And even though she’s learned to trust her son, it doesn’t mean she trusts Will.

REVIEW:

Denise Grover Swank's Chosen is a thriller with action, romance and a paranormal twist. It grabbed my attention from the beginning and kept it until the end.

Swank does an excellent good of keeping you guessing what's going to happen next. She also did a great job of mixing humor, snark, sexiness and heart breaking moments into this thriller.

I felt like I was along for the ride with Emma, Jake and Will on their cross country trip to escape the Bad Men that was after them.

Emma is not your very day soccer mom; she knows how to drive like hell and shoot a gun.

Jake is a sweet and very creepy five year old that sees the future and finds new powers along the way.

Will is a hot ex-Marine that has lost his way but finds his heart again while protecting Emma and Jake.

Chosen is a great start to a new series by Swank. She leaves enough unanswered questions to make you want more and I can't wait for the second book, Hunted.
