REVIEW: A Bloody Good Secret

A Bloody Good Secret (Secret McQueen, #2)

A Bloody Good Secret
by Sierra Dean
Book #2

The blurb contained spoilers for book 1 so I'm not posting it.

Warning: Contains an ever-plucky heroine with no shortage of weapons, super-hot mind games, an ever-complicated love triangle and one hell of a creepy amusement park.

A Bloody Good Secret picks up approximately three months after Something Secret This Way Comes. We find Secret has been living with her Grandmere for those three months, leaving her work and personal lives “on hold”. I won’t go into too many details so that I don’t give away any spoilers from the end of SSTWC. But Secret ran away from her life in NYC in part because of the assignment that the Vampire Council gave her.

After Secret makes her return home from her “holiday”; we get more ass kicking action while she tries to solve the mystery behind the order from the council.

While Secret was away her love life has only gotten more complex. Where in book one it looked like there was going to be a love triangle it now looks like a love square. But I have a feeling that one of the guys will become more than a love interest. Ms. Dean you do weave an excellent web of mystery in your plot lines. I’m looking forward to seeing if my idea about one guy is close to the truth.

I can’t really say too much about A Bloody Good Secret without giving spoilers for the end of the first book so I’ll just tell you that I am loving this series more and more as I read it. And just like when I finished SSTWC I had to pick up A Bloody Good Secret I’m now reading the next book, well it’s actually a novella, Secret Santa.

If you have not checked out Sierra Dean’s book you should do so NOW. They are great and Urban Fantasy fans will love these reads.

  1. I came to see how you are doing, I have not seen your feed on triberr in a while, I wasn't aware that you have left :( It's getting a lot better and easier now (I think). Since they did and update it's been a lot easier, any ways I'm glad I came, I never heard of this series before it sounds pretty good, going to add it to my tbr list and wait to see if comes out on audio.
I just finished the Lord of the Abyss it was a great listen, just in case you have not read it.
