AADSAV Spotlight on BDSM Bingo with Ann Mayburn

BDSM Bingo at AAD 2013

When I was a little girl, way back in the days before the Internet, Bingo was a huge part of the suburban landscape that I grew up in. Not only was it fun to play in school, but it seemed like every family had at least one Bingo addict. You know, the aunt or grandma that would go to Bingo at the local Elks Hall every Wednesday. Sometimes I would get dragged along by a relative or a friend’s Mom and I’d either run around getting the ladies cups of coffee for a quarter tip(hey, that added up!) or I’d sit there and watch these Bingo Masters play twenty bingo cards at once. These old ladies were here to win that frozen turkey no matter what. ;)

I don’t care how old you are or how cool, when you get to yell ‘Bingo!’ everyone gets a little excited. ;) So, I wanted to bring a fun game to AAD that would not only be awesomesauce, but awesomesauce and educational. I can’t go into too many details right now, but I can say that it will be fun, it will be loud, there will be many dirty words involved, and there will be close to a dozen gift baskets to win as well as door prizes and a cash-bar.

Oh, and did I mention that a bunch of BDSM authors will be there as part of the Bingo event? I’m truly humbled to have such wonderful women as Joey W. Hill, Kallypso Masters, Annabel Joseph, and our very own BDSM Vanna White, Cherise Sinclair, will be handing out the prize baskets to the lucky winners. How cool is that!

One of the goals of this event is to make people aware and comfortable with BDSM, and sex in general, in all its many facets. In our society sex and sexuality are very taboo, and sometimes demonized subjects. Women are often scolded for embracing their passion and the books they love are given such names as ‘Mommy Porn’ and ‘Smut’ to degrade them. Well we are going to get a ballroom full of women who are not afraid to admit that their idea of a good time isn’t lying on their back and thinking of England while their husband gives them two pumps, a tickle, and a squirt. We are going to have a bunch of bad ass bitches who will take their gift baskets of BDSM toys home with a grin and quickly hide them where there husband or boyfriend will never ever find it. Wait, no! I mean we are going to have a bunch of bad ass bitches who will scoff at the look of shock on the TSA Agent’s face as their carryon bag full of vibrators and cock cuffs go through the x-ray. ;)

We would love you to join us! If you are free next August, and would like to visit the beautiful city of Savannah GA, please come. :) I swear you will have a blast. No one is a stranger, no one is left sitting by themselves. The convention goers are among the most friendly and gracious I’ve ever met. Remember, they are book nerds just like yourself. So I hope to see you there and in the meantime if you’re in the mood for some delicious BDSM Romance, I’d love it if you took a look at some of my books. :) To help you out with that, I’ll give one lucky commenter a BDSM book of their choice from my backlist!
 - Ann

Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of West Virginia. In her past lives she's been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist, a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead-though she will deny to her children that it ever happened.

From a young age she's been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that often was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back.

Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has learned to type one handed while soothing a cranky baby.

Tanwen Evans has traveled to the world famous Sodom Virtual Reality Resort to find her passion. Her twenty year marriage to her high school sweetheart has recently ended, and with both of her children out of the house she finds herself alone for the first time in her adult life. Unwilling to trust her heart to another man, she believes that indulging in some racy virtual reality fantasies will help her find her long buried sexual side without the messy complications of a relationship. When she arrives at Sodom she discovers much to her shock, and fascination, she has been booked during the annual ‘Leather Kiss’ BDSM convention. Bryan Hamilton isn’t a fan of virtual reality fantasies, he prefers real life any day of the week. As a founding member of ‘Leather Kiss’ he attends the convention at Sodom, but usually enjoys his submissives without the aid of technology. When he runs into Tanwen all of his plans change. With her gentle disposition and her ladylike manners she calls to him like no woman has since the death of his wife. He discovers that she is a natural submissive and begins a campaign to win her heart, that includes joining her in a series of mind-blowing VR adventures.

Tanwen has to fight her growing attraction to the handsome Master who is supposed to be just a vacation fling. The more they’re together, the more she finds herself yearning to have Bryan be her Master both in the virtual and the real world. She has to decide what’s more important, protecting her heart or taking a chance on the kind of love she’s always dreamed about.

Shy and quirky Violet Bishop has finally found the perfect way to meet a man who could fulfill her hidden submissive desires, something that she has never dared to ask her conservative and uptight ex-boyfriends to do. She joins an on-line matchmaking site that puts couples together based on the books that they love, in this case the BDSM erotica that lines her bookshelves.

Two Dominant best friends and business partners, Carlos Romano and Morgan Kane, are matched with Violet. They both want to date her and rather than fight about it they decide to keep the fact that they know each other away from her and let her pick who she wants to be with. A good idea in theory but something that become impossible as they both fall in love with Violet and wish to make her their own.

Carlos and Morgan work on building up Violet’s almost non-existent self-esteem and help her find an inner strength she never knew she had, along with an almost bottomless craving for their dominant touch. When Violet discovers they have been lying to her, the men realize that they have made her strong enough to leave them, and they have to find a way to win their perfect woman back, no matter what.
