This series is so much fun!

Lady Minerva is not interested in marriage, unfortunately, her grandmother is forcing her (along with the rest of her siblings) to marry on pain of disinheritance.

She is completely caught off guard when Giles Masters, a long time friend of the family, proposes marriage.

Giles has been attracted to Minerva for awhile (and she has been head over heels for him too), but he, until now, he had no place in his life for a woman. Being a spy had left him little time for a personal life. After learning that Minerva must marry, he wants to be the man she weds.

This book is a ride - from romance, intrigue, mystery, drama, and a little treasure hunt.

I did have a little issue with this book. Minerva's character was wonderfully fresh (and I love the fact that she is a Gothic author in Regency era), she seemed to make a "big deal" of something that really was not serious and continues to harp on it throughout the majority of the book...that was vague, but I don't want to post any spoilers.

I love this series! If you enjoy historical romance, The Hellions of Halstead Hall, is worth reading. I just picked up the next two books at Barnes & Noble and, if I can find time between: school, homework, work, and writing, I will start them ASAP :)
