I got to give Dead Witch Walking a second chance! If they only would stop putting out new books, just for a week...LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm an Ear Worm right now but fully intend to be Plugged In by the end of the challenge.
ReplyDeleteI've done a lot of listening to books that I've already read. I'm looking for new series to try just on audio. Would love some suggestions.
ReplyDeleteSome of my favorites on audio are:
DeleteJane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter
Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep
Downside Ghosts series by Stacia Kane
Kate McDainels series by Ilonda Andrews
IAD series by Kresley Cole
Charely Davidson series by Dyranda Jones
Those are some of my favorites too. A series that I've listened to that I've loved (don't know if I would've read it), was the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning. Phil Gigante does great Scottish accents. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend.
DeleteI agree with this statement. I doubt I would have read them, but listening to them is so much fun. :-)
DeleteThe Guild Hunter series narrated by Justine Eyre was what got me hooked on audiobooks.
DeleteGood to know. I grabbed the whole series last month during a sale. LOL
DeleteYour list is just as long (if long longer) than Lupdilup's! You gals need to let me in on your listening secret! I'm hoping to start Skinwalker soon but I have a few other titles that I need to tackle first.
ReplyDeleteI can average 1-2 audios a week between work and the car. And if I'm only a few chapters away from finishing one I'll listen at home while cooking and cleaning.
DeleteAt this point I think I've listened to more books than I've read this year. LOL
I do the same thing. Depending on what I'm doing at work, I can go through an 18-20 hour book in three days.
DeleteHoly Wow, you listened to a lot of books so far! How is the narration for the Kresely Cole series? I need to catch up on that one... I'm loving the audio books for Devon Monk's Allie Beckstrom series, narrated by Emily Durante. I love listening to Urban Fantasy on audio since I listen a lot while on hikes or the treadmill and Urban Fantasy help me to move a little quicker :) Book Savvy Babe
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the narration for the IAD series. I have three books on my Nook so I'll read them but I'm going to miss the narration. LOL
DeleteI like the narrator for the IAD books. The first story, The Warlord Wants Forever, I haven't done. It has two narrators and that drives me crazy.
DeleteIf you haven't tried Charley Davidson series on audio, I HIGHLY recommend it. It is my favorite on audio.
Nice job Jen. You are moving through the audios. I love being able to listen to them at work. It helps my day go by faster.
ReplyDeleteI've read 16 books so far this year -I hit Lugged in
ReplyDeleteI have had a slow start to the year but now I am starting to listen more to audiobooks at works.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the Lara Adrian's Midnight breed series.
Love that series! That reminds me...I need to get Edge of Dawn!
DeleteI have the newest release to listen to. I'll get to it this month or next.
DeleteWow, you guys are doing great! So far, I'm behind on my book reading & audio listening for the year.
ReplyDeleteCurrently listening to J.R. Ward's Lover At Last & loving it!!!
I listened to the sample for that one. I just can't get into many male narrators. I'll stick with reading the series.
DeleteI kwym, most of the books I listen to have female narrators. There are a few male narrators that I really like & Jim Frangione is one of my favorites!
DeleteI don't like many men either. However, Phil Gigante does Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series. He is wonderful. I highly recommend that series on audio. Especially, if you like Scottish accents, old world Scottish accents. :)
DeleteOMG I don't know how you and Loupe do it! When I grow up I want to be like you girls. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late update I'm having a very hectic week.
Audios make my workday go by faster.
DeleteI haven't listened to any audio books yet. I'm thinking maybe it is time for me to start.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried the Pride series by Shelly Laurenston? I've seen good reviews for the reading the series, but I haven't heard much about the audio versions. I'm thinking of trying them.
ReplyDeleteI've read the series but I didn't realize it was on audio.
DeleteYou know, I think you might be right. I could've sworn that I had book 1 of that series in my Audible wishlist. I guess I was wrong. Oh well. I was hoping to listen to it. I can get through books much faster listening than I can reading. Multitasking at it's best.:-)
